Extech 42512 dual-laser infrared thermometer delivers precision targeting, rapid response

To measure temperature, the user must hold the instrument by the handle and point it towards the surface to be measured. Next, pull and hold the trigger to turn the meter on and begin testing. The LCD display will immediately show the temperature reading, the maximum temperature reading, the SCAN icon, the emissivity value, and the unit of measure. When the trigger is released, the reading will hold for roughly seven seconds, with HOLD appearing on the display; then the meter will shut off automatically (unless the LOCK mode is set to ON). Temperature units can be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit via the switch inside the battery compartment.
