FRABA expands horizons with new Chinese unit to serve Asian automation market

Now, FRABA has reached yet another important landmark: the corporation has opened a new business unit in China.

Established in March as a wholly foreign-owned enterprise, the FRABA Industrial Automation (Shanghai) Company, Limited will serve the rapidly growing Chinese industrial-automation market.

To express the acronym “FRABA”, the launch team selected Chinese characters that conveyed dedication to customer satisfaction and success, commitment to product innovation, and an ambition to succeed in the dynamic industrial environment: 福瑞博工业自动化（上海）有限公司. FRABA first established a relationship with a distributor in Shanghai in 2001 and has been actively involved in the Asian market since then – expanding its presence by founding a regional headquarters in Singapore in 2009 and gradually growing its Chinese team and distribution network.

The new company is another milestone on FRABA’s journey to establishing a strong presence in Asia, offering the immediate advantage of better service for Chinese customers. For the initial launch, the corporation will focus on enabling domestic sales transactions and minimizing delivery time; it will also be authorized to resolve issues with clients. Among the future possibilities are the development of warehouse facilities and even local manufacturing operations. Crucial to the success of these initiatives will be recruiting and training of skilled local personnel.
