The latest addition to the Hytrol family is the ALT1000 plastic chain belt conveyor, a new development specifically designed for carrying lightweight products.

Featuring four belt widths

The ALT1000 plastic chain belt conveyor is distinguished by its anodized aluminum beam frame, which is built to carry products lighter than the typical conveyor loads. Users can combine the ALT1000’s components in many different ways, which means that they can adjust the size of the system according to the amount of production.

Other notable features and traits of the ALT1000 include four belt widths, a white acetal finger chain belt, a constant belt speed of 17.68 metres per minute, tubular guide rails, and a shaft mounted gear motor capable of 230, 460, or 575 volts. There are also sealed, pre-lubricated, self-aligning ball bearings on the drive and tail pulley. The conveyor can handle a capacity of 50 pounds per foot at its constant speed with clean environmental conditions.

Optional floor supports are also available. Other optional equipment that can be used with this conveyor: roller transfers; fiction chain belts, available in four widths; gear motors of different levels of power; flat-face UHMW and slide-rail guard rails; electrical controls, with AC-variable frequency drives; and horizontal and vertical bends and curves.

The ALT1000 comes in four different series, of varying size and weight:

• 140 – overall beam width 141 millimetres (mm), beam height 65 mm, weight 12 kilograms (kg) per metre.
• 220 – overall beam width 224 mm, beam height 62.5 mm, weight 13.6 kg per metre.
• 620 – overall beam width 64 mm, beam height 65 mm, weight 15.24 kg per metre.
• 830 – overall beam width 86 mm, beam height 65 mm, weight 18.28 kg per metre.
