MOCAP’s extensive range of protective plugs: Ideal for assembly, conversion, shipping

Three types of plugs are available.

MOCAP surpasses all other industrial manufacturers in North America with its outstanding selection of protection solutions. The wide portfolio includes a broad variety of caps, grips, masking units, and pipe and flange protections. The MOCAP team also makes three types of protective plugs, which are compatible with many applications. Customers meet a full spectrum of protective, finishing, and masking needs with these three plug series: dip-moulded vinyl plastic, injection-moulded plastic, and rubber-moulded.

For assembly, conversion, or shipping

This wide range of solutions includes injection-moulded plugs, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plug caps, sheet-metal plugs, tube-end plugs, vinyl dip-moulded shipping plugs, high-temperature masking plugs, and EPDM and silicone rubber masking plugs. All of these options are perfect for product protection during assembly, conversion, or shipping applications. They are most recommended for masking against debris, painting, spraying, or powder coating. They also help to add a finished quality appearance to tubing or sheet-metal components.

Three basic categories of protective plugs are available from MOCAP:

• Friction-fit plugs. Designed by the MOCAP team to protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, or damage during the production, shipping, and storage phases. Among the examples are general-purpose plugs, sheet-metal hole plugs, tube plugs for round, square, rectangular and oval tubing, barrel plugs, and flexible vinyl plugs.
• Tapered plugs. Including tapered plug caps, wide-flange plug caps (both thick and extra-thick available), centre pull plugs, paper tapered plugs, EPDM tapered plugs, and silicone tapered plugs.
• Threaded plugs. Sixteen models of red plugs available, all made in a wide variety of materials and styles. Designed to fit a broad range of metric and standard threads, in addition to different types of threaded ports, fittings, and assemblies. The examples include general-purpose, sealing, hex-socket, square-head, universal, and push-in plugs.

The MOCAP lineup includes hundreds of sizes, shapes, and designs of polyethylene injection-moulded plugs, all of which are stocked and ready for shipping. Vinyl dip-moulded plastic plugs are available in standard flexible PVC material for shipping and protection use, with high-temperature models for masking. MOCAP’s EPDM and silicone rubber plugs (including tapered plugs, washer plugs, and pull plugs) suit paint, powder-coating, and spray-masking tasks.
