Prestolok fittings are composite units that save time by eliminating the use of a sleeve and tightening of nuts, which are necessary with compression-style fittings, thereby enhancing efficiency while creating a fluid distribution network.

These quick-connect pneumatic fittings are constructed from nitrile D-seal, which creates a positive seal on the tube’s outer diameter in static and dynamic positions. This seal deforms during insertion of the tubing, reducing the insertion force with no effect on the sealing feature. To connect, the user just pushes the tubing into the fitting until it bottoms. Prestolok PLP fittings from Wainbee are easy to disassemble too; one presses the release button, holds against the body, and pulls the tubing from the connector.

To eliminate the possibility of system contamination from PTFE tape, a thread sealant is applied to male threads. All the components in these fittings are silicone-free, and the fittings themselves are 100 per cent leak-tested and date-coded in production, to ensure traceability and quality. Relevant applications include air lines, inert gases, cutting liquids, oil lines, vacuum lines, climate control, and automotive tasks.
