Blending suction and discharge principles

Peristaltic pumps alternate compression and relaxation of a hose or tube, drawing liquid in and propelling it away from the pump. A rotating shoe or roller passes along the length of the hose/tube, creating a seal between the pump’s suction and discharge sides. As the rotor turns, this seal point moves along the tube/hose, displacing product into the discharge line. The hose/tube recovers after pressure release, resulting in a vacuum. This priming mechanism draws product into the suction side of the pump. Blending these suction and discharge principles begets a powerful, self-priming, positive-displacement action – ideal for challenging, solids-containing materials.
