Each Verderflex Rapide R3 or R3S model is a compact peristaltic tube pump that users can install as a unit in itself, or integrated into a printing press, a packaged turnkey skid, or any similar system. Both series are suitable for rugged work environments and function with IP55-rated gear motors, and Verder assembles them in heavy-duty aluminum housing. The tube is “thick-walled” to enable safe, dependable handling of chemical solutions, fine slurry, ink, dye, additives, other dosing liquids, and other abrasive, corrosive, and viscous fluids.

Among the technical specifications: maximum discharge pressure of two bar; maximum temperature of 85 degrees Celsius; and maximum tube size of 9.6 millimetres (mm). The standard tubes are made of Verderprene and silicone, and they meet the standards for FDA and USP certification. The Verderflex Rapide R3 offers maximum flow of 230 litres per hour (l/h), tube-wall thickness of 3.2 mm, and standard speeds of 68, 137, and 196 revolutions per minute (rpm). Also available from York Fluid Controls, the Rapide R3S has maximum flow of 189 l/h, tube-wall thickness of 2.4 mm, and standard speeds of 60, 113, 151, and 220 rpm.
